Restoration of the Historic School Bell

Thank you to Mr Jeff Townsend, President of Penrith RSL sub-Branch and his team for their time, creativity and dedication to the history of our school and completing the restoration of our school bell (1917). Some of you may not be aware, but our very own Mrs Power who is currently a teacher at Penrith Public School was once a school captain at Penrith Public School. It was her job to ring the bell of an afternoon to signal the end of the school day. Mrs Power had the honour of reenacting her role when the bell was unveiled at an assembly last week.
