Sesquicentenary Signature Pavers

Pavers

  Pavers

A sensational addition to the school grounds has been the creation of signature pavers at the front of the school. This Project, commenced in August 2015 in the School's Sesquicentennial year, has taken quite a while. Firstly, because of the need to attract sufficient interest and then to finalise the group of subscribers. This occurred in March of this year. Then began the challenge of finding a team willing to take on this kind of job. The D.A.R.E. team from Springwood, which provides training and employment for people with disabilities, demonstrated great skill and patience in both advising us of what was possible, taking meticulous care with your signature pavers and completing a very fiddly job over the course of four days.

Perhaps you have noticed the convict bricks which have been laid as path edging and certainly improve the entrance to the school. Next step is to install a self watering system in the gardens at the front of the school and to refurbish the area around the school bell. If you would like to sponsor either of these projects please contact the school.

I thank the Penrith Public School community past & present, for your patience in waiting for this project to be finalised. I think you will agree that the finished result is outstanding.
