Athletics Carnival

Dear Parents and Carers

The Penrith Public School Athletics Carnival will be held on school grounds and on the Penrith Selective High School oval. 

Date: Monday 30 June 2025

Time: Parents and carers can enter at 9:30 AM

Entry Point: Please enter via the Doonmore Street gate near the canteen. All other gates will remain closed.

What to Bring: Lunch, a snack, a drink bottle, a school hat and sneakers

 

Throughout the day, students will participate in a variety of exciting activities. Running races and long jump will take place on the high school oval. Spectators will be able to view these events from the southern side of the oval, closest to the fence. Entry is via the internal school gate near the basketball courts. Novelty events and high jump will be held on the primary school basketball courts and grass area. The remaining novelty events and discus will take place in the field across the road.

Lunch orders can still be made via the Spriggy app for your child on Monday. The canteen will be open for parents and carers on the day. A limited selection of hot items will be available.

If you would like to sign your child out at the end of the carnival, please inform their age group teacher who will provide you with an exit slip. If your child will be signed out by someone other than their primary carer (such as a grandparent) please notifiy the school in writing via email by Friday 27 June. Children can only leave with an authorised person. All parents and carers can exit via the Doonmore Street gate near the canteen, as all other gates will remain closed throughout the day.

In the event of wet weather, we will assess the situation and notify parents and carers via School Bytes and the school website as soon as practicable. Please be aware that, if the event is postponed, it will be a regular school day.
